Our Services

Prevention & Restoration, Built for Little Smiles

Oral health affects general health — poor dental health can interfere with eating, speech, confidence, and academic performance. We focus on catching problems early and treating them gently.

Prevention

Preventive care begins the moment the first tooth erupts. We recommend establishing a "dental home" by your child's first birthday.

  • Routine cleanings & exams — parents welcome back with their child
  • Fluoride treatments to strengthen enamel and protect against decay
  • Dental sealants that fill the grooves of the back molars
  • Cavity risk assessment & a customized home-care plan

Restorations

When a cavity does develop, we restore the tooth as gently and conservatively as possible.

  • Tooth-colored fillings — less preparation, fewer shots, less drilling
  • Stainless steel "baby teeth" crowns for teeth too damaged for a filling
  • Extractions, when needed, to support healthy permanent tooth development
  • Natural-looking results that blend with your child's smile

Giving Back

Community Outreach

  • Sponsorship and participation in school, sports & town events
  • Complimentary dental education visits to daycares, schools, scouting, and parenting groups
  • Participation in multiple local dental assisting student programs

Frequently Asked Questions

Parent Questions, Answered

Children should visit a dentist by age 1. Visiting the dentist by age 1 helps you establish a dental home, get to know the dentist, learn how to avoid cavities that can cause pain and serious health problems, and know who to call in a dental emergency.

A soft-bristled, small-headed toothbrush should be used at least once per day before bedtime. Use a tiny "smear" or rice-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste as soon as teeth erupt, increasing to a pea-sized dollop between ages 3–6. Parents should supervise toothpaste use and floss any teeth that are touching.

Generally, children outgrow these habits before they become harmful. Some children who continue may benefit from a corrective retainer. Please mention these habits during your child's regular exams so we can properly monitor their growth.

Nursing an infant to sleep or letting a child take a bottle to bed can lead to tooth decay, as sugars from milk, formula, or juice sit on the teeth overnight. We recommend brushing your child's teeth before bed and providing only water at night. This is also known as Early Childhood Caries (ECC).

Everyone should see the dentist every six months to prevent cavities and other dental problems. Regular visits help a child get comfortable with our team, allow us to evaluate growth, and often let us arrest a cavity early before a filling is needed.

Stay calm. For a permanent tooth, try to reinsert it into its socket and contact us immediately; if that's difficult, place it in a glass of milk and call us right away. If it's a baby tooth, leave it out — never reinsert a baby tooth.

We generally recommend a soft plastic mouth guard to protect a child's teeth, lips, and cheeks from injury during contact sports. We can create a custom-fitted mouth guard for this purpose.

There is very little risk from dental X-rays. Our technology uses a fraction of the radiation used in the past, and X-rays are highly valuable for finding hidden decay, pathology, and growth patterns.

A balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy, meat, fish, and eggs supports overall health. The most common risk factor for children's decay is liquid sugar — juice, sports drinks, chocolate milk, and soda. Limit these to mealtimes, and offer water in between.
